Honoring Our Service Men and Women

As a proud employer of former military personnel and their families around the world, today we honor and remember the brave souls that have served their countries in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Remembrance Day marks the end of World War I in 1918, specifically at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month of the year. Commonwealth nations pause for a moment of silence at this time to honor members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. In the U.S., Veterans Day honors those who have served in the United States armed forces.

KBR recognizes military personnel around the world, and we express our appreciation and deepest gratitude for the numerous veterans that we’re privileged to have on our team.

“My military experience has helped my career at KBR by providing a comradery with other prior or retired military KBR employees.  It has helped me understand the various systems that are within the projects.”

“I chose to work for KBR because I can still mostly do what I did as an active-duty physiologist.  It is a great place to work since most of us have worked together sometime in the past.  In addition, the work and projects are exciting."

"As a trusted partner to Defence, KBR has enabled me to maintain many of my strong relationships with senior Royal Australian Navy stakeholders. I hold a privileged position within the Navy community as an advisor, mentor and advocate, all which is enabled by KBR."

“My experience in the military has translated almost directly into my career at KBR as an EVA Flight Controller. The ability to prioritize important information, as well as to make critical decisions under immense pressure and ambiguous circumstances while in the military, is almost identical to the situations and conditions in my role on the EVA team. The 15 years of military experience has helped give me a leg up in my training in the Flight Operations Directorate."

“I served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 21 years and that experience has proved to be one of the many tools that I bring to the table when facing situations. KBR has provided opportunities to use those tools in various aspects of my job.”
